Wellington Rugby – in conjunction with Horowhenua-Kapiti, Wanganui, Manawatū, and Wairarapa Bush Rugby Unions – will be hosting a World Rugby level 2 Rugby Coaches Development course for women and girls over two days in March, at the Hohepa Jacob Community Rugby Centre in Levin.

Throughout the course, participants will learn vital coaching skills such as skills and drills, modern attack and defence shape, game analysis, and creating a positive team environment.

Wellington Rugby Coach and Development Lead Ryan Piper believes the course will be extremely beneficial for those looking to obtain World Rugby Level 2 coaching qualification in girls’ and women’s rugby.

“This is a great opportunity to engage and grow rugby coaches in the women and girl’s space.”

The course will run between 10am-4pm on both Saturday, 9 March, and Sunday 10 March, and is open to secondary school and senior club level coaches.
