Injury Reporting
Catastrophic/Life Threatening Injuries’ need to be reported ASAP via this link to NZ Rugby.
- A head or spinal injury that results in the player being admitted to hospital
- An injury or event (e.g. a heart attack) that results in the death of a player during match play or rugby training
- An injury that is expected to result in some permanent disability (e.g. loss of use of a limb, loss of an eye)
Injury reports must be submitted to WRFU for the following injuries,within 48 hours of the incident:
- Any injury that results in the admission of a player into hospital after a game
- Any injury that is expected to prevent a player from playing for a period of 6+ weeks
- A suspected concussion or a Blue Card from the referee (Blue Card Report Form)
