Mills Albert and WRFU Achieve Remarkable Fundraising Success for Bellyful

In a gesture that demonstrates their commitment to supporting both the team and the wider community, Mills Albert Ltd has gifted the front-of-jersey space to Bellyful, a charitable trust dedicated to providing nourishing meals to families in need.

Bellyful provides free, nutritious meals to whānau with babies or young children facing a tough time. Their mission is to provide practical and emotional support for local families who wouldn’t have support otherwise.

“Mills Albert has always been driven by a strong commitment to family and whānau values,” says Lisa Mills-Albert, Company Director of Mills Albert Ltd,

“Gifting the front-of-jersey space to Bellyful is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of our wider community, and to women and children in need.”

“Having our logo on the Wellington jerseys this season is incredible. We are absolutely over the moon,” says Bellyful’s Acting CEO Fiona Wilson.

“This support from Mills Albert will help us to reach even more whānau who need support and, importantly, to provide more support to our fabulous volunteers. We are very grateful for this opportunity and offer our deepest thanks to Mills Albert for its generosity and to Wellington Rugby for being so willing to support us in this amazing way.”

As well as bearing the logo on their playing jerseys, the Wellington Lions will be offering up their time to Bellyful, helping to pack and deliver meals to families in need across the Wellington region next month.

WRFU CEO Tony Giles remarked, “We’re proud that our teams will be sporting the Bellyful logo this season. Our values around community care are very much aligned, and this collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to making a positive impact.”
