Position Vacant: Communications & Content Manager

The position acts as the first point of contact for the media and public on information relating to the Hurricanes, WRFU and Wellington Lions, as well as providing advice on matters from a public relations and media perspective. Fan engagement through social media is a key focus for the role in contributing to the promotion of the teams and rugby in general.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be known for your “can do” attitude and your ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.  This is a busy and varied role incorporating numerous different objectives for which you will have to take full responsibility and ownership.

Experience with content production and fan/customer engagement via social media will be viewed favourably.

The successful candidate will likely have at least 5 years relevant communications experience, preferably gained within the sport or entertainment industry or similar high-profile environment.
