Position Vacant: Director of Rugby - Wellington Lions Head Coach
Wellington Rugby is seeking applications for the role of Director of Rugby - Wellington Lions Head Coach. Wellington has a proud tradition of success in New Zealand provincial rugby competitions, as well as identifying and developing player talent.
The successful candidate will have:
outstanding leadership and people management skills;
effective talent identification and development systems;
an ability to build strong relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
As well as overseeing all academy and player development programs you will coach the Wellington Lions to a standard of excellence that enhances the reputation of the Lions and Wellington Rugby.
Suitable candidates will have had prior experience coaching rugby at the highest levels. An appreciation of the importance of technical and tactical components, thorough analysis, planning and organisation is imperative, as is the ability to articulate and deliver a vision and game plan for the team.
A level 3 World Rugby coaching certificate or equivalent is mandatory.
This is a fulltime role and an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the development of rugby in Wellington.
