Situation Vacant: Petone RFC Coach Development Officer
The Petone Rugby Football Club was founded in 1885. The Club has produced 30 All Blacks and 16 NZ Maori representatives and are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organised and suitably qualified Coaching Development Officer.
This position operates on a partnership and dual funded basis between the Petone Rugby Football Club and the Wellington Rugby Football Union with the objectives of:
- Providing dedicated support to coaches at junior, secondary school and senior club level
- The provision of development and upskill opportunities and assistance with player development
- Other duties include the general promotion of our rugby programmes including Konnect Blue and Ken Gray Academy.
Petone Rugby Club have a long history of achievements. Our current and immediate past player development has produced many players going on to international teams, national representative teams and super rugby franchises. In recent years we have had outstanding success and ran a very successful 2017 campaign capturing four championships during the season. We are looking to build on this success by increasing our playing numbers and developing coaches and players to be the very best they can.
