Update on Club Rugby: Saturday, August 22

|
News

No Spectators Please:

Thanks to Clubs who have previously shared or posted the no spectators please message. Can we ask that you share this message again tomorrow on your social media please?

Junior Rugby:

A strictly enforced limit of ONE parent or caregiver will be permitted per player at junior level games (Under-6 to Under-13)

This is to ensure the safety and comfort of our youngest players – not to accommodate spectators.

Livestreams:

WRFU are aware of four livestreams of matches tomorrow:

  • Old Boys University v Petone
  • Paremata-Plimmerton v Northern United
  • Poneke v Marist St Pats
  • Tawa v Wellington

Please promote these within your networks if relevant.

Managed Entries:

We are asking Clubs to manage the entries to venues to ensure the 100-person bubble.

It’s not worth a fight with the public if they are adamant they can walk through a venue – best endeavours to ensure the safety of your participants will suffice.

To achieve the above we are asking Clubs to work together to man entry points. This shouldn’t be the sole responsibility of hosts as people visiting will likely be from both Clubs.

WRFU Club Check-In’s:
One of the Community Rugby team will be in touch shortly to discuss your plans for tomorrow and answer any questions you may have.

Contact Tracing/QR Codes

Please ensure there are ways of electronically contact tracing at venues this weekend.

Should you need to the WRFU draws feed on our website allows you to check in via IDME

Feeling Sick?

It goes without saying – if anyone is feeling sick, they should stay away.

Some points of clarification:

Club Rooms: Clubs are responsible for determining if Club Rooms can open. These would be another bubble that cant interact with the playing bubble and must adhere to the three S’s

After Matches: This is another decision for Clubs whether they continue or not. If held these must follow the 3S’s too.
