Wellington Men's and Women's Teams qualify for TECT National Sevens
Northern, Central and Southern Regional Qualifiers were held across the country on Saturday 30 November with 16 Provincial Unions emerging as the contenders for 2019 silverware.
In the men’s division, Wellington topped their respective qualifying event going through unbeaten.
In the women’s division, Wellington finished third after going down in a tough semi-final against an on-form Manawatu side.
The Tauranga Domain will play host to the TECT National Sevens on 14 and 15 December. While our teams are looking to add to their trophy cabinets before Christmas, the event is also a great chance for any key talent to be identified, with New Zealand Sevens selectors on hand to identify players for the 2020 development teams.
