Wellington Pride is proud to announce its partnership with RCR Infrastructure Ltd for the 2020 Farah Palmer Cup season.

RCR is a New Zealand owned and operated business that services and installs HVAC, refrigeration, and other electrical componentry across the country.

This is the first time the company has entered a partnership with a sports team and director of Sales and Development, Lorene Maher, says choosing the Pride was an easy decision.

“Women’s rugby is reaching new heights each year and it’s an exciting time for women’s sport in NZ.”

Executive Director, Garry Ko, agrees and says the partnership aligns with what RCR is trying to achieve with the construction industry as well.

“We are working hard for women to be involved within the trade industry too and our Wellington branch is leading the way with more women being employed into our apprenticeship programme.”

More than that though, Wellington Rugby CEO, Matt Evans says the deal is ground-breaking for rugby in the region.

“The women’s game is going through massive growth at the moment and our Pride are an especially strong force in that space. We’re looking forward to nurturing a long relationship with RCR and its people.”

Captain Joanah Ngan-Woo says the team are really proud to be showcasing the partnership when they run out every game.

“It’s definitely a good sign for the women’s game. Having RCR as a partner of the Pride shows real growth and it’s awesome to know brands are willing to back our team.”
