Wellington Rugby launches volunteer rewards and recognition programme
From Maidstone Park in the north to the Polo Ground in the south, there is an army of hard-working, dedicated people working tirelessly each week to help run club rugby in Wellington.
Wellington Rugby wants to recognise and reward these people with the new Volunteer of the Month award.
The Volunteer of the Month runs throughout the rest of the club rugby season during May, June, July and August.
The Volunteer of the month is a new programme in partnership with Wellington’s 17 clubs and with the grassroots rugby community, to help recognise and reward the current and new volunteers who work hard helping to run the game each week.
“Our club family is the lifeline of club rugby. This is an exciting initiative, in helping our clubs importantly retain and promoting recruitment of our valuable volunteers” says Mila Poutoa from Wellington Rugby.
The Volunteer of the Month recipient will receive personalised Wellington Rugby apparel, tickets to the All Blacks Test match v South Africa on 15th September and vouchers for the Green Man Pub, Burger King, Mitre 10 Mega, Toyota Rutherford & Bond and Rydges Wellington Hotel.
Clubs are asked to register their volunteers so they can enter and be in with a chance of winning the fantastic prize above.
Entries close at the end of each Month and the winner is decided in the first week of the following month.
