Wellington U19 training squad named
Wellington Under 19s coach Zak Feaunati has named a 32-man wider training squad ahead of the 2017 representative season.
The squad will play five matches in the build up to the annual national Under 19 Jock Hobbs Memorial tournament in Taupo from September 9 to 16.
Eleven Wellington clubs are represented in the training squad with Old Boys University (seven) the most heavily represented, followed by Marist St Pats, Petone, and Oriental Rongotai with four each.
The team will start its campaign against a visiting Yorkshire rugby team at Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua on August 2 before playing the Wellington Samoans (August 12), Hurricanes Under 20s (August 19) in Palmerston North, Hawke’s Bay Under 19s (August 26), and Manawatu Under 19s (September 2).
