Wellington U19 wider training squad named

Wellington Under-19 head coach Dion Waller has named a 38-man wider training squad as they prepare to work towards the national tournament in Taupo in September.

 

The wider training squad will now prepare for the first of the qualifying matches for the Graham Mourie Cup, the top division at the Jock Hobbs Memorial Tournament.

 

A trial match against the Tasman Under-19 squad will be held in Wellington on Sunday, August 5.

 

The first qualifying match is against Hawke’s Bay. Wellington will then meet a Hurricanes Heartland side in Palmerston North before their last qualifying match against Manawatu. The top two sides progress through to the top division.
